Give…A Few Words and Network

Give…A Few Words Network Meeting

The Give…A Few Words Network Meetings are a place where organisations of any shape, size or sector (industry) can come together to share ideas, expertise and conversation.   The meetings are friendly, supportive and are on the first Thursday of the month at 10am.

They feature a combination of education sessions and guest speaking slots as well as networking time.

Our first ever “real life” meeting on the 7th October will be held in the beautiful surroundings of Empire House in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield. The meeting will feature Chris Chinnock from Creative Connections who will look at how we use Photography as a way to communicate. Guest Speakers this month will be Kate France from Uniform Exchange talking about their school uniform recycling charity and Claire Blackburn from Empire House (who are very kindly hosting the meeting) will be letting us know about their beautiful office space.

The Give a Few Words networking sessions have been brilliant and what I really welcome is that Sharron has purposely made sure that these include a varied mix of people from different sectors, so that we can all share our experience and expertise to help each other and work together on projects. Personally I’ve already connected with Rachel from The Creative Map, the first person I’ve found who does very similar work to me and a fellow passionate advocate of creativity, and so it’s been great to share ideas and understand ways in which we can work together in exciting ways in the future.
